What Should I Consider When Purchasing An Engagement Ring?

Brought to you by cheaper emerald cut rings.

Once you have made the decision to buy a normal diamond ring for your engagement you’ll next want to know what features to pick. The issues break down to matters of style, quality, practicality and cost. Its important to consider all of these issues together as partners, as these elements each have an impact on a relationship in its newborn phase.

Fashion sense? You may think this is obvious, but once you and the person you love begin thinking of all of the variations and options you may find yourself staggering at the many choices open to you.

A family heirloom piece can be simple yet elegant. (but is it so old fashioned that the wearer will feel odd wearing it?). It is a standard one. Raised prong Tiffany setting diamond. (but are you capable of paying for a sufficiently large gem that looks right with the shape of the ring?).  Is this a standard jewelry store chain’s basic pre-design choice? (But what if it looks like every other ring you have ever seen?)

Discuss the style you want before you go out to make a purchase. Sit together and perform searches on the internet : whether you go with amazon.com, or Google “engagement rings” you will find plenty of sites offering you a chance to preview the styles available to you. If you and your love are sentimental and fond of your heritage, you can ask near relatives if there is an available family ring on either side that might be well used as an engagement ring — or a stone in an old setting no longer worn that could be reset for your use.

When you think you know what you want in terms of style it is time to go looking in person, with try on fittings, discussions with jewelers, stone selections and more. Not only the stones but the manufacture need to be evaluated for quality.

Check out the samples as well as others on display in the store. Check for rough metal work, poor finishing details, loose or poorly set prongs, sloppy weld-work at the fastening points of the mounting. It is disturbing but true: mass produced jewelry can be very badly made. Second-rate workmanship is something you should not settle for.

A poor stone mounting with shoddy prongs will catch on your clothing, scratch furniture, make distracting noises during conversations or appointments, and eventually separate enough to lose the stone. Make sure you take into account all levels of workmanship.

It is basically a matter of the way the one who wears it lives and acts. A necklace pendant would be much safer for a potter, who’s hands are always in slip and clay. A low profile ring that will not hung up on rackets, snag in tennis balls, or even twist into an uncomfortable position when doing a serve is what a tennis player wants. An electrical worker should use a metal that is a poor conductor of electricity in order to ensure he or she is not electrocuted. The joy that is felt in the ring can be made or broken by these practical issues.

Last of all, the price. Purchase what is needed. Only plan on spending what you can comfortably afford - and the ring does not have to be flashy. You can always hope to upgrade at an anniversary in the future. Being practical now will benefit your future. If you’re looking for something impressive but don’t want to spend a fortune, the right jeweler will be able to give value and sparkle at surprisingly reasonable prices.

Consider other stones as substitutes. Some can even outshine the beauty of a diamond! Keep yourself from falling too far into debt by over extending your budgetary limits, Even though sound marriages can weather storms in the marriage, the wisest marriages avoid those storms when at all possible.

Awesome Shoes, Low Prices

kenneth cole reaction

Shoes, women love shoes. From heels, high shoes, low set shoes, slingbacks, pumps, loafers, sandals, espadrilles and wedges. The list of shoes never ends, and if every woman got her way, then the shoe business would be on shortage.

Shoe brands are just as important as the designs are, as designer shoes that have international reputation do not just turn heads, but make the wearer feel good as well. Brands like Kenneth Cole Reaction create shoes that are respected world wide because they tick all the boxes sought after by the disserning buyer.

While most savvy shoppers live by their own shoe shopping creed, here are a couple of pointers when it comes to shoe shoppingpping:

By knowing what you want you can invest in a good pair of shoes

Like handbags, a huge variety of shoes are now coming out in the market and they all look good, so of course, all of them are ìmustñhavesî. While great designs aren’t really the problem, itís the fact that the ones you want are ridiculously expensive.

Even so, it is important to invest in at least one really good pair, no matter how ridiculous the price, that you can wear to almost any occasion. If you can afford to buy a designer pair of shoes, go for the one that you can wear versatilely to various occasions and events.

There are some pieces that will never go out of style.

Don't tempt yourself into pink croc leather stiletto even if it's on sale. It simply is not good fashion sense!

shop online

There are plenty of websites that sell ONLY footwear, and that sell footwear among other items. Look for a website that sells a whole range of fashion pieces and that way you will be able to coordinate your shoes with handbags, pants and tops as well to create a whole package. Perfect!

Shopping on a site that categorizes it’s ranges can make the browsing easy, so be sure to look for that feature before laboring for hours on a site that is difficult to navigate.

The best thing about shopping online is that you can easily compare prices without going on foot from store to store.

Sales

Online stores often have end of season sales, just like bricks and mortar stores. This is a great time to pick up some designer footwear at cheap prices, so if your online store of choice has a mailing list!

As with in-person shopping, with sales you need to get in quick to have the best styles and sizes from which to choose
