The air inside an office can easily be bombarded by all sorts of particles and allergens that are invisible to the naked eye. This is true when the air conditioner is running all day and there is carpeting on the floor. HEPA filters follow a specific standard in that they should be able to operate at a minimum of 99.97% efficiency and filter out particles as small as 0.3 microns.
The net benefit of using an air purifier within an airconditioned and carpeted office of course is that the air becomes cleaner. It logically follows that cleaner air helps to prevent illnesses from spreading and this is due mainly to the fact that many harmful air particles and bacteria are being filtered out or eliminated outright. If your office receives a lot of visitors such as business prospects, you certainly do not want them leaving with some kind of condition. This could be disastrous to your business!
